Shop it up: Dear Colleen

Dear Colleen, I love following you on Intagram - I feel like one of the first people on earth to getta glimse at a new drawing or a new idea or product.  

This Bristol born, New Zealand based artist is tops.  I am in awe of her illustration skills and her work ethic.  I'm also a little jealous as she gets to draw for a living.

Her online Etsy store is crammed with fav's that reflect her off beat humour and artistry.

She's recently come to the world's attention with an American journalist, Grae Drake, passing on one of her teatowls to the guy that features front and present - Mr Ryan Gosling.  While he turns puce in embaressment, she equally is, and has said that she could only watch the clip once.

  Being made to look like a fan-crazed-gosling-geek, she is not.  She's just a clever artist with a wicked sense of humour.  

"Dishes I'd rather be doing" is up there in my top ten, but there is plenty more magnificent 'Colleen' I love.

Society 6 also makes her illustrations in iphone cases, hoodies, pillows and tote bags!

Shop it up (and giveaway): Studio 15

I'm a magpie for bright colours.  No...yes really.  So when I spotted these gems from local girl Charlotte Campbell I flocked hard.

Emma from Studio 15 is selling them in her shop.  

A must-go-to here in sunny Blenheim.  Emma has a fashion eye like no other and sells pre-loved, high end fashion magic.  Clothing, scarves, shoes, belt and of course jewels.

Spotted: AFD in Homestyle Magazine

I do miss our old stairs so it was very nice to see them pop in the latest Homestyle Magazine Feb/Mar 2013

These stairs have had a lot of interest in the past 5 years so again I will remind those of you that are fresh how I got them

I used a Christchurch based company called CRONZ (carpets and rugs of New Zealand).  They are amazing at creating exactly what you want - they have a huge range of colours and will even dye to order if there is a colour you have in mind and they don't have it.

You can choose from wool widths, pile styles and all combinations.

All done with the help of your favourite designer...  The results that I've had for clients are always stunning.  I've designed hall runners and rugs that are all individual and are customised for each situation. 

Now that's how you get "personality plus"!
